There will be a special transmission from the DDH47 radio station located in Germany. This will take place on Saturday, 14th April 2012 at 22:30 UTC/GMT on 147.3kHz (LF band). This will mark 100 years since the Titanic sank. The transmission will include the names of the ship's radio officers. An HF station will be run simply to receive reports from radio amateurs who have copied the signals. For more information see:

On a completely different subject altogether; Lancaster Castle is extending its normal tours for this weekend only, to include areas that have previously been unavailable to the general public, due to the castle's previous use as a prison. The extended tours are available this Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday only. It is expected to include those areas where the Pendle witches are believed to have been housed prior to their execution. See you there ?
